Over the past couple of months, my suitcase has barely been unpacked. I’ve traveled to Anaheim, Montreal, San Antonio, Miami (twice!), Columbus and New York — a mix of business and personal trips that included conferences, leadership meetings, college drop-off, a family weekend, and even a colleague’s wedding.
Traveling is always a blend of excitement and exhaustion. Between takeoffs and landings, there are inevitable flight delays and long airport stretches. For me, that usually means catching up on emails, sipping coffee, and indulging in a little people-watching. I’m fascinated by the endless mix of travelers — business professionals racing between gates, families decked out in Mickey gear on their way to Disney, and everyone in between.
In those moments, I often find myself reflecting. Travel has a way of reminding us just how big — and connected — the world really is. I hope everyone who travels gets the chance to pause and truly appreciate the experience: the privilege of exploring new places, meeting new people, and seeing life from a different view. Even in the chaos of airports and delays, there’s so much to be grateful for.
